The Soho House Group are a household name, made famous by their elite members club which includes the likes of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sylvester Stallone.
With exclusive, luxurious establishments in world-wide locations, we have supported their creation in the London, New York and Miami Soho House.
Filled with designer furniture and created under the wing of world renowned Architects and Interior Designers, Soho House offers an experience like no other.
We were honoured to assist Soho House’s Interior Design team in sourcing a wide variety of antique chairs from all over the UK, where the style and specifications were very detailed.
We have an exceptional antique furniture sourcing service that Soho House tapped into to find the exact pieces they required to convey the feeling of grandeur and style with which their houses are famed for.
Nowhere conveys Scottish opulence more than The Fife Arms in Braemar, Scotland.
Built in the 19th Century, this stunning hotel is home to beautiful weddings and events, and plays host to a number of renowned guests and celebrities.
The Fife Arms is unique in its pursuit to celebrate the many talented individuals and businesses in the region and throughout Scotland, with The Original Chair Company being one of the many artisans to be featured in the building.
We collaborated with the Interior Designers of The Fife Arms, who are based in London, to create some stunning pieces of furniture to convey timeless Scottish design and craftsmanship.
You can see some of our stylish sofas and sofa beds inside the hotel, many of the design were embellished with opulent trims and contrast fabrics.
Specifically, the style of furniture selected by the hotel were York Sofa Beds, and Stafford Sofa Beds, both can be found in our catalogue and created as bespoke pieces by our team in a variety of fabrics and trims.
The fabrics used in this project included GP & J Baker, Jane Churchill, Marvic and Today’s Interiors, all of which can be sourced by our fabric studio.
Much investment was made in creating this new luxury hotel and spa, set in the elegant countryside of The Scottish Borders, just outside Edinburgh.
The charming and historic manor house also houses a championship golf course and stunning spa. Opened in 1997, the Roxburghe Championship Golf Course is the work of renowned golf course architect Dave Thomas, showing the calibre of creators that assisted in creating this landmark hotel.
We assisted the main Interior Design Team in Germany in providing various sofas, armchairs, occasional chairs, dining chairs and footstools for the hotel as well as bespoke chair designs.
We are excited to say that we are continuing to work with the design team to provide more seating for new sections of the hotel.
Fabrics used in this project included Anthology, Clarke & Clarke, Fine Textiles, GP & J Baker, Harlequin, Monarch, Morris & Co, Osborne & Little, Richter Leder, Warwick and Zoffany.

Moonfleet Manor is a luxurious family hotel located on the majestic Jurassic coastline of Dorset.
The incredible building itself dates back to the 17th Century, although today it is mainly Georgian in design, including symmetrical form and fenestration, multi-pane windows and strong stone/brick walls.
The Interior Design Team at Moonfleet Manor approached us to assist them in sourcing various seated furniture for the property including bespoke chairs and sofas we created specifically for the hotel.
Some of the items we provided for the hotel include Burnham Sofas and Chadwick Sofas, and included the use of fabrics by Altfield and Lelievre Paris.
We continue to work for this trust.
After successful, Michelin Star ventures in Central London, renowned publicans Mark Dyer and Eamonn Manson turned their attention to Brook House in Fulham, a charming gastro-pub offering the finest local produce in a quaint, beautiful restaurant.
We assisted Brook House’s award winning Interior Design Team in London, by providing and sourcing a variety of timeless chairs to fit with their practical, rustic and relaxing vibe.
The Bath Chairs we provided used fabrics by the likes of GP and J Baker and Sekers, and definitely aid in conveying the warm, cosy welcome of this restaurant.
There is only one word to describe the incredible Ashridge House – WOW!
Once a royal residence to Henry VIII and Princess Elizabeth I, today Ashridge House is an award winning meeting, events and wedding venue.
Its stunning architecture and neo-gothic design truly speaks for itself, making it one of the most striking country estates in the Hertfordshire area, just 30 minutes north of London.
The Original Chair Company work with Ashridge House on an ongoing basis, supplying sofas, chairs, footstools and bar stools to the property, including bespoke banquette dining sections and other items.
Fabrics used in this project included Bute Fabrics, Designers Guild, Lewis & Wood and Rose Uniacke.

Cornwall is one of Britain’s best holiday destinations, and Fowey Hall is the ultimate hotel choice for travellers looking for some luxury.
This beautiful hotel can be found on the stunning Cornish Coast, offering stunning sea views with the option of hot tubs and candlelit meals.
The Interior Designers at Fowey Hall contacted The Original Chair Company for assistance in providing various seated furniture, including bespoke chairs and sofas, for the hotel.
We created some stylish and comfortable Burnham Sofas and Chadwick Sofas for the cosy seating areas in the hotel, using fabrics by Bute Fabrics, Jab and Pollack.
We continue to work for this trust.
The Howies restaurants are a renowned name throughout Scotland, known for their expert knowledge in Scottish cuisine, and using this to create delicious dishes for us all to enjoy. Currently they have a number of restaurants open in Edinburgh.
The restaurants are revered for their use of fresh, local produce. Fresh seafood, locally grown vegetables and premium quality locally reared meats can be found aplenty, as well as Scottish wines and whisky.
Our design team at The Original Chair Company thought it was essential to convey these elements and their importance to the Howie’s name when creating the aesthetic of the premises.
We were approached by Howies team to create two private dining rooms of bespoke furniture and décor for their Aberdeen premises that best conveyed local Scottish element to their offering.
Using an array of Scottish fabrics and décor, we created a collection of unique pieces for each room.
Flashes of pink and white tartan complement the highest quality wood, and create a timeless opulence for their diners to experience.
Our Director Kate was at the forefront of the creation of ‘The Game and Garden Room’, and ‘The Harbour Room’.
Work for these rooms included the sourcing of decor items with local interest, re-upholstery of furniture for the restaurants existing dining chairs, the creation of a new, relaxed seating area and all window treatments.
Kate was delighted to lead the Interior Design team by project managing this effort and defining the entire decoration scope also.
We were delighted to work with the Howies team to create these unique designs and were delighted that these met all of their needs and expectations and within time frame.
The chairs we featured in Howies were our Benson Wing Chairs – some of our best sellers – upholstered which were upholstered using a fabric by GP and J Baker, Game Show Fabric.

As we work with Interior Designers from all around the world, especially those in London, we understand you may not be able to visit our studio and search for your perfect bespoke piece. If you are unable to come to the studio we can discuss your preferences via video call, email or telephone and offer a complimentary sample service to your home or office. Face to Face meetings on location or elsewhere can be arranged.

Choosing your Wood
