After many fruitless visits to furniture stores finding The Original Chair Company saved our sanity! In just one afternoon Kate helped us to transform our sitting room. We chose new pieces from the extensive range of sofas and chairs on show and were guided unerringly towards fabrics to compliment the existing furnishings. At the same time re-upholstery of a favourite chair was agreed (and later another was added). Fabric samples arrived within days. Final choices were made and the order was completed very professionally, down to diagrams agreeing the precise alignment of motifs on the scatter cushions.
We were kept informed of the time scale for the work throughout and when we had to ask for a last minute change in the delivery time, Kate contacted the courier during the weekend.
We are more than delighted with our new furniture. The quality of the upholstery is second to none, the fabrics work perfectly with our Turkish rug and the whole room feels fresh and uncontrived.
Nothing was too much trouble for Kate, Sarah and Moira. There is no doubt that we shall return for more.
We cannot recommend The Original Chair Company highly enough.

We are delighted with the small chair we bought off your shop floor and the two wing chairs are wonderfully comfortable. The wing chairs are upholstered in a large patterned fabric and the workmanship in pattern placing and matching is fantastic. I do similar work myself and so particularly understand the quality.

I was aware of the work of The Original Chair Company so when I decided to bring old chairs back to life I had no hesitation in commissioning the project to Kate.
The quality of work is absolutely fabulous and the chairs restored expertly. I also commissioned roman blinds to be installed, which are beautifully made and installed expertly with minute attention to detail.
Their patience is also endless whilst I asked for many, many fabric samples.
